This is no ordinary romantic comedy about obstacles to human intimacy. A young man suffers from Asperger Syndrome, a mild form of autism which can cause social awkwardness. One day, Adam – who has led a sheltered existence all his life – meets his new neighbour, Beth. Their connection is palpable. It becomes clear that Adam’s inability to decipher non-verbal signals is beyond his control. And yet Beth doesn’t balk. Their mutual interest tentatively takes root. Their implausible and enigmatic relationship reveals just how far two people from different realities can stretch in search of an extraordinary connection.
